I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Databricks in Nov 2024
Interview
5-6 weeks interview process with 5 rounds of interviews, responsive recruiters and nice interviewers, high bar but if you put some effort into preparing its definitely manageable. For each round you get briefed before about what you can expect and interviews were engaging and friendly. Cultural fit plays a big role next to technical skills.

Around 5 stages- recruiter screen, take home in python or sql,HM interview, technical interview, case study presentation and then a director chat. Overall moves quite quickly and they seem to have a talented team.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Databricks in Jan 2026
Interview
The process was very smooth, they provided reasonable motivations and feedback, and the recruiter was available for a short feedback call in the end. Have to say, not common in the industry

Question 1
Tell me about a time you did something outstanding
Interview process was smooth, nice people. 1 HM round, 1 tech round on PySpark and 1 Presentation round. Databricks was not listed as a requirement, and HM said I wouldn't need it for the interviews. But, I was rejected after the presentation round because of less Databricks knowledge, which made no sense

Question 1
Presentation panel was basically to sell Databricks to customers
