      Software Programmer Interview

      9 Apr 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Salt Lake City, UT
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at DataMetrix (Salt Lake City, UT) in Feb 2015

      Interview

Met at the career fair and turned in a resume at which point I was contacted for a video interview with HR and the IT manager (I believe that was the title). Fairly relaxed interview of getting to know each other, experience, etc. After that the next day set up an onsite interview. There met with HR, IT Manager, and CIO. Another round of resume related questions then some basic questions about SQL and some simple algorithms and that was it. Extremely short. All the questions were extremely relevant to the job although I would say didn't ask enough or challenge enough in my opinion. The next day the offer was made. It was a great offer and they were very nice to work with on ironing out the details and even though they were under a time crunch that I couldn't handle with other things happening in my life they were understanding and worked with me. In the end a different job offer fit better with my goals and where I wanted to be but if it hadn't been for that offer I would have ended up here and, at least from how the interview experience went, would have been happy there.
