I applied online. I interviewed at Dash (New York, NY) in Jul 2018
Interview
Initial contact email included no details about the company or position, no discussion of setting up an interview time, no asking for additional information or clarification, or anything of that nature. The initial contact was solely to ask me my salary expectations. Sorry, red flag. In 20+ years, I've quite literally never had someone ask for NOTHING other than what my salary expectation was. I declined to proceed any further with the company.
Similar to many companies, we do ask for salary expectations during the application process. While we did not have an opportunity to speak with this individual in real time, we did reach out to him with the offer to schedule some time to speak by phone but we received no response.
We do let all of our candidates know that our organization is very much like a treasury where we take great fiscal responsibility. We are constantly striving to improve our processes which includes ensuring that each candidate has a positive experience with our team throughout the entire application process.
