      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at DaVita (Templeton, CA) in Feb 2012

      Interview

Applied for a PD position. Recruiter steered me to Clinical Coordinator. Never given a chance to interview for PD. First interview with Facility Admin on the phone, then she arranged for me to fly out there for interviews with Regional Directors. 1 in person, 2 on the phone. Very disorganized. The schedule for the day was completely thrown out and I spent a lot of time sitting around the center waiting for something to happen. Nearly identical interviews from the three different individuals. apparently reading from the same management school script. One consistent phrase they all used was that this was "a key position", "we are looking for a leader". Once I got home, it was a few days before I heard from the recruiter who balked at what I was asking for in pay, then I didn't hear anything again. Heard back that the Regional Ops director wanted one more interview on the phone. By now, some time had passed, I had time to look closer into the company and I decided I did not want to associate with them.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DaVita (Houston, TX) in Jul 2024

      Interview

The online booking system for scheduling my phone interview with DaVita was excellent; I was able to schedule my interview efficiently at a convenient time for me. My interview was set for Thursday at 2 pm, but I received a call unexpectedly on Wednesday at 12:40 pm. This early call from the talent acquisition specialist caught me off guard. I was immediately asked if I was an RN, despite my resume and all relevant information being available to the recruitment team. During the conversation, I was cut off and informed that I wasn’t qualified for the role. I explained that I have over 10 years of medical experience in the healthcare industry, including managing a team of 35+ employees. I shared my direct patient experience in hematology, working daily with cancer patients, building their trust, and educating them on their medication and treatment. Although my experience isn’t in nephrology, the skills and environment are quite similar. I felt undermined when I was advised to watch YouTube videos about a day in the life of a PCT and to consider applying for that role instead.
