Unprofessional screening experience
I interviewed with CSC in August 2025 for an L&D Specialist / Senior Talent Partner role. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The initial screening focused almost entirely on a short stint from several years ago, while overlooking nearly two decades of rich L&D experience, including 2.5 years in my most recent role. It felt dismissive to have the conversation framed mainly around one brief tenure rather than my overall contributions.
When I explained my previous role ended due to redundancy, the recruiter corrected me bluntly to “laid off,” which came across as unprofessional. The call itself was not easy to follow, as I had to ask her to speak up more than once, and the tone felt more authoritative than collaborative. After being told my application would be passed forward, I did not receive any follow-up. I attempted to reach out for an update, but received no response.
Every candidate deserves clarity and respect in the process, regardless of outcome. Professionalism, warmth, and transparent communication go a long way in creating a positive candidate experience, and unfortunately this was missing here.
