      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at DISH (American Fork, UT) in Oct 2017

      Interview

The worst company I applied till now. Not at all professional. Applied online (have no idea about the negative reviews when applying) . HR contached and setup a time to talk. Asked me to take the assesment to consider for the next round. Once online assesment is done, next round of telephonic interview with hiring manager was setup. Hiring manager and another manager called and discussed more about what they do and how great Dish is(Only thing they did). At this point I already did my research about the company and asked the manager why do they have many negative reviews on glassdoor. She mentioned that most of the reviews are old and more over written by customer care services people. she also mentioned that dish is developing and its really good for IT personal. Beliving that I advanced for further interviews. Next round was with director, who again told how great Dish (whole time). Next round was on site interview, where I was made to take an online assesment test(around 1.5hr) later they gave me tour of the building and then interview with the director (Gave building tour to kill time as director was late due to some personal issue) Next round was again phone interview with VP. After this another recuriter called me asking for the refrences They contacted my refrences and recruiter called me same day and said they got back the references and discussed about the pay and benefits and said she will send me an email with all the details . Waited for 3 days no email and no call from the recruiter . Then I emailed them asking do I have any update about the position, at that point recruiter emails and says I am not a correct fit and they are passing on me. Things I didn't understand: 1. what do you see in your employee, coz if you want someone techinical, you don't pass on them after discsuuing pay and benefits, if they are not techinal you will know that immediatley after interview not during the befits discussion. 2. When a person invests 3 months of their time on the interview process and flew to SLC in the middle of the week to attend an interview, its your courtesy to call them and tell why you are passing on them and what went wrong, not waiting for them to sent an email and reply to that. 3. Hiring manager offered me to drop me home after the interview , but when it came to informing the candiate about the offer they didn't care. don't try to please people when you want and don't treat then like dirt when you don't. Advice: All reviews are very true, don't believe whatever they tell in the interview. Don't waste your time in interviewing to a company who don't value talent. If you are technically good, Dish is not the company for you.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

You absolutely don't need any preparation. Coz they spend most of the time telling how great dish is rather than checking if you are a good fit or not.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DISH (Littleton, CO) in Jan 2024

      Interview

Had a phone screen first, and an official interview the following week. Fairly standard and staff was friendly. I appreciated how easy it was to talk to the interviewer, took the stress out of the interview process.
