I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at DC Public Schools (Washington, DC) in May 2016
Interview
The interview was straightforward and quick. I gave my experiences and ideas I thought would be good in regards to improving participation and overall school culture. I did my research before after applying. I was told I should hear something back within 6-9 days then the principal called did a phone interview and the next day I was offered the job.

Fill out a writing prompt on how you would encourage parents to come to parent-teacher conferences.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DC Public Schools (Washington, DC) in Oct 2009
Interview
After applying for a Project Coordinator position (salary range high 50's-low 70's), I aced a phone interview focused on this management-oriented position and was brought in to meet the head of the department and his chief of staff for an in-person interview.
Once I was seated, it was explained to me that, actually, they were trying to fill the job of a departing administrative assistant--something paying more than $20,000 LESS than the position I'd applied to, interviewed via phone, and was led to believe I was applying to in person.
EXTREMELY and deliberately misleading, disingenuous and unprofessional. This was disrespectful and a waste of my time.
