The interview process consisted of the following stages:
- a 30 min phone call with a recruiter
- a 60 min interview with 2 Senior User Experience Researchers and a Product Designer during which you present a project and are then given a scenario for which you are you come up with research methods and goals
- an interview with the hiring manager, which is apparently reserved for individuals D2L is ready to make an offer to
Before the interview process, I was excited about the opportunity to work with D2L but the interview process left a bad taste in my mouth.
I reached the second round of the interview process only to be ghosted by the company even though the Researchers said I would hear back the next week whether or not I made it to the final round. That never happened so I think the team needs to better communicate with the recruiter on this front.
I sent a follow up email to the recruiter 2 weeks after the interview, but never heard back. I find it disrespectful that D2L leaves candidates hanging after having to invest time and effort in preparing for their interview. I hope that they learn to show job seekers a little more respect and empathy.
