Phone screener with HR recruiter was pleasant, discussed benefits and a few questions about the role. A virtual Interview with the hiring manager and team member, the questions focused more on management style than the job description requirements. The role manages two or three staff so the heavy emphasis on management style threw me off.
I didn't hear back for over a month and reached out the recruiter, who responded and provided an update (many applicants). Three weeks later the recruiter called to inform me they selected a last minute internal candidate. The call was a nice gesture.
