I applied online. I interviewed at Cymax Group (Vancouver, BC) in Nov 2025
Interview
First had a chat with their HR Generalist, who, by the way, is lovely.
Then was invited to meet the CFO at their soon-to-be new office in Vancouver.
It went well enough but it didn't feel they were ready for the full scope of HR and were really protected about where the company is and long-term plans. Although it was a pleasant interaction, It didn't feel right for me... And it seems we were in agreement, The process stopped there for me.
An email was sent to inform me that I was not selected to go to the next stage. I appreciated not being ghosted the way too many companies do at the moment.

Question 1
Past experience, ability to work with leaders, personal approach to HR.
All expected questions.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cymax Group (Vancouver, BC) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview was presented as a behavioural interview, but most of the questions turned out to be technical. It felt a bit inconsistent with what I was told to expect. (Red flag No.1)
Additionally, some questions were repetitive: my answer to one question was essentially the same as the next one, which made me feel the interviewer wasn’t really listening. (Red flag No.2)
At one point, the interviewer even turned away to greet and chat with someone nearby for about a minute. That, combined with a very brief self-introduction and hesitation to turn on the camera at the beginning, made the experience feel somewhat unprofessional. (Red flag No.3) and I didn't receive respect from him during the interview.
I don't know the company, but please avoid this team.

Question 1
How does your system handle hundreds of millions of peak visits?
3 rounds of interviews with no response to followup email. Was concerned due to leadership shakeup and previous multiple rounds of layoffs and process doesn't inspire confidence in the company.
