I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at CuraPatient (Irvine, CA) in Jan 2022
Interview
I took the interview process very seriously and I spent more than 20 hours to do their design challenge, and I delivered detailed design package for them. After doing that for them, I realized the design challenge I did is actually for a REAL company for their management system. They GHOSTED me after my submission. It has been 2 months, but I still haven’t heard anything back. I’m not desperate for a job, but I think it’s basic mutual respect that let the interviewee know about the results after so much time candidate invested in this.
After reading the reviews here, I realized I’m not the only one who had the similar experience. It almost feel like I got SCAMMED to do the free work for an actual company. Their team doesn’t care at all.
Don’t bother to interview with them, they will just ghost you afterwards!
PS: the current designer mentioned overtime, stay late and on site policy during our first meeting. They looked burned out, not sure if the company has a good culture.

Question 1
What’s the hardest research you’ve done in the past?

Interview
Product designers - if I could rate this process 0 stars, I would. I had an interview with a member of HR and the current product designer. I was given ~5 days for a design challenge for the second round, which included a write up and a presentation (which would be on-site). I sent those in on time and received no reply for 3 weeks now (would be nice just to hear a no). After investing my time and energy into a company, it’s disheartening to be ghosted like this. I’d save yourself an emotional rollercoaster and find a different company.
Note: The position is 100% on-site and mentioned night meetings to coordinate with an international team (not expected to attend but good to know)
