I applied through university. I interviewed at Cummins
Interview
Cummins needs to radically adjust their approach to recruiting candidates. I was hired to be a Thermal and Fluid Sciences Engineer, but was not told what my day to day job would be like or which department I would work in until shortly before I started work. I was on cloud 9 when I heard I would be working for this company and doing what I was most interested in. My dreams were smashed when I discovered what my day to day work actually involves. Advise to potential candidates: get a good idea of what your work will involve or risk the ride.
The whole hiring process took about a month. It started with a short screeing call from an external recruiting agent and followed by a telephonic technical round and later a group technical round at their office in Pune. After that there was a HR round. They have communicated about the final offer after a week gap. Overall it was a good experience and everyone was professional
