HR reached out to arrange a call with Creative Director to see if I was a good fit to progress with. They followed up about a week later to schedule an in-person. I arrived and was given a tour of the office (which is amazing!) and told a little bit about the culture and events they hold (which is great). Then went into a meeting room and had five half-hour meetings with individual team members, most of whom I'd be working with if I got the position. I think by this point they already know you can do the job, and it's about getting into the technicals and seeing if you're a good cultural fit. Two weeks later, after their other interviews, they called to let me know that they wanted to move forward with me and would need references in order to create an essay that they present to a hiring committee - the first time i've heard of something like this, but that's just how they roll. I sent all this through and a week later they called with the good news that the hiring committee went well and they were now finalizing my offer with finance. I got the email and was quite frankly amazed that they'd managed to work with finance to not only meet my range, but exceed it. All in all a great interview experience.
