Interview process was great. It was smooth, use case interviews and case studies. Final interview was amazing, hiring manager was so good. Pay is not that good, benefits are good.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Cruise (Detroit, MI) in Jul 2021
Interview
Interview was in 2 rounds -
1. Take home case and then present when ready to the hiring manager - very related to the role.
2. 5 back-to-back interviews with cross-functional partners around behavior and circumstance-based questions. One of them was also a live case with 2 interviewers evaluating your thinking process through the case.

Question 1
One question from the hiring manager that jumped out to me was - "Do you see yourself as a people manager at some point?" .......which indicated that there is a LOT of growth opportunities at the company.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cruise (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2020
Interview
1) Recruiter screen. 2) 30 min product phone screen with another PM. 3) 4x hour long 1:1s with product, hardware, design, engineering.
A few of the interviewers were personable and fun to chat with, but not the PMs who made the experience feel very transactional. After a brief "hello" and 15 sec intro, they dove straight into behavioral questions. The PM made it feel like I was wasting their precious time. Made it to the final round, but no offer.
