I applied through linkedin and later sent an email to the recruiter which was ignored initially and later after couple of follow ups, the recruiter finally reached out after a month and the questions were vague, even from a HR pov. The conversation was very unpleasant with the recruiter asking me questions that has no relevance to the position and needless to say, the recruiter came from very traditional and old school thinking, which either ways won't be meddled easily.
The recruiter proceeded to schedule a "technical" interview with a Product person - even if the role was for a Growth profile. I was taken a little aback but I went ahead with it assuming the product guy might work also handle Growth. But it was not the case.
The interview which I thought would be technical had not a single question related to JD. It was just a chit chat on what have you done and how you have done, etc. Very underwhelming and least appealing.
I further went ahead to ask Growth and profile related question to the interviewer. They couldn't answer (questions wrt ROAS, Margin, Spend channels, Budget bifurcation, etc etc) and the answer I got was "I am not the best person to answer this"
Immediately after the said interview, one day into it I received a rejection email stating I don't align for the role and requirements. No concrete feedback either. But I saw it coming, so not very surprised to be honest.
