I interviewed at Courageous Sailing (Boston, MA) in Jan 2019
Interview
One interview with administrators, that was it. Fairly straightforward, very quick and very easy process. It was a good system that quickly vetted people. If you have taught sailing before you will be completely fine.

Question 1
Years of work experience, why you left, how it is relevant, how do you think you will be a good employee.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Courageous Sailing (Charlestown, MA) in May 2014
Interview
I applied online and was contacted by email to set up a phone screen. That was followed by an in person one-on-one with the director at the site facility. It was less formal than I was expecting. In person interview happened right at her desk, which was kinda weird & awkward. The room was small, messy, and very cramped with all other admin staff working side by side. This also made it an incredibly distracting environment for me as the interviewee since there were multiple other conversations (between staff or on the phone) going on in the same room, so I kept losing my train of thought.

Question 1
Asked about past experience in sailing, working with kids, and managing a team of instructors. I don't remember any curveball questions. It was really very straightforward.
