There were about 25 people at the interview and we were each given an availability sheet to fill in our times and location preferences. Each of us was then allocated to one of 3 tables, which had a different activity.
The different store managers introduced themselves and we then moved onto doing our activities. First was a scenario based question. We had to pair up and were given 2 minutes to answer the scenario (See Interview Question 1). They said it would be good to come up with a "creative answer", as it did get quite repetitive. Each pair then answered the question, and while we answered this, another manager was listening to us and took notes. After this, we moved on to another table.
The second activity involved Jenga blocks. We had to pair up once again and were told there would be two rounds. One of us had to be an instructor and the other was the builder. The instructor had a picture and had to instruct the builder to build the jenga tower as in the picture. The builder could not talk or see the picture. We had about 2 minutes for round 1. We then swapped roles for Round 2. But this time, the builder had to close their eyes and we had around 4 minutes to build another tower. There was someone walking around the table during this checking on our progress. After this, we moved onto the final table of activities.
The third and final activity was a memory based game. There was a deck of cards, each of which had a typo product on it. The manager at the table then read out 15 random items that we had to find in the deck. We then each got a deck and had around 2 minutes to find those 15 items. At the end, the manager read out the items again to see how many we got. Out of the 8 people, there were (one 15, two 14, one 13, two 12, two 11). We then moved on to the one-on-one interview.
Each of us got called up by a manager and then they asked us pretty basic questions. It was really chill and was more of a casual talk. We had an opportunity at the end to ask questions. Once everyone was finished, we took a group photo where he each held up our names that we wrote earlier. As we were leaving, we each received a 30% discount code.
P.S. I just thought I'd mention this if anyone thought this was interesting, but I was one of only 2 guys out of 25 people that interviewed in that time slot.
