The process: 1. Call with HR. 2. Call with manager. 3. Call with co-worker. 4. Call with director. 5. Call with leader of org. There is a complete disconnect between what the HR says will be the hiring process, and what it actually is. HR told me there would be a single technical call with the manager, and only 4 calls in total. In practice there were 2 technical screens, and a total of 5 calls. What the HR told me to expect for each call and what the calls were actually about were literally polar opposites. HR told me the call w/ the director would focus on values and that's what I prepared for; the world "values" was not mentioned even once, and instead the director grilled me about industry strategy, despite that not having the slightest bit of relevance to the role I was applying for. Overall it was clear that the director did not want to be interviewing me and was looking for ways to make me fail. Key phrases from this director: - "I am very picky about who I hire." - "You are one of the first candidates, so we will continue to interview others after you" --> Literally telling me that I'm a backup should they not find anyone better. - "We will let you know the result shortly" Two weeks after completing the interview process, not even so much as an automated rejection. Apparently this is how they treat people at CoreWeave.
