      Salesforce Developer Interview

      1 Jun 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CoreSite (Denver, CO) in Apr 2026

      Interview

The interview process had good communication, but was rushed on my end. I was meant to have a zoom call with the technical architect which was scrapped in favor of a single interview with the entire team. This felt rushed to me but I was fine with it overall. The panel interview is always an intimidating environment and the structure felt a bit loose to me, in hindsight it's almost like I was expected to drive the interview more than I had prepared for. The main difficulty of this interview was in the breadth of questioning. Once again with better prep I may have driven harder at discovering what they were wanting out of a dev, whether that was a jack of all trades or something different like a front end specialist. I also had terrible food poisoning before this and made the poor choice to not try and reschedule as I thought they might move forward with other candidates, leaving me not clear headed going into it. I only bring this up because the nature of how fast this moved left me thinking my only choice was to go ahead with it even though I was not 100% A standout point at the end was none of the devs were using any AI tools at the company with the stated reason being security concerns. They also generally stated they had explored it very minimally in their own time which to me signaled resistance to change, this was in April 2026. I understand security risks but to ignore these tools entirely now feels like you are putting yourself a step behind as a developer / engineer, Overall the team seemed nice and I would have been happy to be there though, all the best to them!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad to hear the overall interview was positive and understand how some steps could feel rushed. We strive to provide an interview experience that is positive for each candidate while allowing our hiring team flexibility to schedule and adjust based on their needs. We also appreciate your feedback on the use of AI. CoreSite is constantly reviewing AI and where it can be implemented. We take a considered and thoughtful approach to the implementation of any technology. We use many programs, including AI, based on the benefits vs. risk for each department. Thank you. -CoreSite
