I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Core BTS (Cincinnati, OH) in Jan 2022
Interview
First applied online on the company site on a Sunday evening. Got a call on Monday from a recruiter who was fairly informative. On Tuesday I had an interview setup with a lead engineer and director of engineering for the coming Wednesday (next day). Had a pleasant set of interviews on Wednesday. Both interviewers were quite nice. Most of the questions were more general philosophy (how do you solve problems, what’s your approach when dealing a large problem, etc) style. There weren’t really any super technical questions and there was no coding challenge of any kind. Recruiter checked in before and after the interviews which was nice. On Thursday I had an offer that was higher than my initial salary ask and I accepted on Friday. I appreciated the speed with which Core operated.

Interview
After touching bases with a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, I met with a Principal Architect. The interview was down to Earth, which I really liked. My third get together was Director of Operations. The entire process made me feel at ease, open, and honest. I've been doing this for 30 years and I knew that this company would be a great place to hang my hat.
