I interviewed at Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum
Interview
Quick response and easy phone interview. Came in for an in person interview. Everyone including front desk and interviewer was very nice and it is of course a beautiful museum.
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum (New York, NY) in Mar 2022
Interview
The interview was held remotely and was mostly a description of the project I would work on as an intern. I was surprised by how few questions I was asked about my experience or ambitions for the internship. When I actually began the internship, the project scope had narrowed from what had originally been described, but remained generally accurate.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in May 2021
Interview
Interviewer was several minutes late to the interview and started off saying how busy she was that day. In fact, she was so busy that she spent the entire interview typing away and obviously looking at email or other documents. She was clearly bothered to be there before I even said a word. The level of disrespect was unreal.
The questions were rather rote for the position. Was she even listening? Who knows? I never heard back -- they didn't even have to courtesy to send a rejection email.
My sympathies are with those who work for this person. Spending 30 minutes with her was enough disrespect and unprofessionalism for me.
