There were two rounds. The first was a screener and the second was four or five back to back interviews with associates and partners. Everyone was very nice and the questions were nothing unexpected.
I applied through my school's on-campus interviewing program. I met with the interviewer for 20 minutes in a hotel room. He asked me some basic questions about my qualifications. I heard back fairly quickly.
The screening process is simple and standard.
The interviewer asked questions like:
Why did you decide to come to law school
Why should Cooley hire you
Be prepared to share more because the interviewer would like you to expand some of your answers

Question 1
Why did you decide to come to law school
Why should Cooley hire you
Submit application, then interviewed by a senior associate. Interviewed for the IP summer associate position. Did get the offer. The entire process is smooth, just my background does not fit.
