The interview process was quite friendly, more trying to identify whether there was truly a cultural fit. As I came recommended by a mutual colleague who knew my work history and product, my technical skills were not so much in question. The organization (at the time; not sure now) was VERY family friendly, and wanted to stress that with me. I had two small kids at the time, and was very happy to hear this.
Much of the "interview" consisted of listening to the owner about his philosophy, meeting many other folks in the organization, and letting them ask questions of me. I had questions, too, so careful listening got most of those answered.
Ultimately, I stayed at CMI more than five years, and left on good terms. In many ways, it is a very good company to work for.
