They acknowledged that they had originally teed you up for a technical interview around web development and implementing a small feature in Django - and that is not what you were asked in the interview which focused on basic python coding/debugging problems. Because you noted in the interview that this didn't align with the expectations they had set (really appreciate that feedback!), they agreed that wasn't fair and scheduled the re-do technical interview. The focus of the second interview involved implementing a small feature in Django. I do appreciate that you went through an extra technical interview based on the miscommunication by the team. I thank you for bringing that miscommunication to their attention so they could offer a new interview that aligned with the original criteria. We are also adjusting our process going forward so that this is more clear for future candidates as candidate time is precious and should not require additional steps.
