I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Compass Group (London, England) in Mar 2017
Interview
Its more a trial than an interview.
They call you in for a few hours to see how you work. If you have the barista skills they just want you to be fast. You will be tested alongside one or two more baristas(employees) and you have to help them deliver fast coffees at no standard. If you doing latte art you gonna be considered slow, but its a bonus if you know latte art.
Lots of questions about my goals. Long term and short term. Long interview. How well i can manage crowd. What's my attitude with customers. Many competency based questions. HAd to give examples for the situations and how i handled them.
I applied online. I interviewed at Compass Group (Glasgow, Scotland) in Sept 2024
Interview
Very smooth and accommodating. The interviewer was friendly and made me feel comfortable during the process by keeping me informed and trying to work around my schedule. I felt the interview process was very well organised.

I applied online. I interviewed at Compass Group (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
Interview was easy. No many questions and I had to show them if I could make a proper coffee.
I felt like it was only a conversation, not an interview.
