I got invited for an initial screening on Zoom with a person from HR. She seemed ok, although I noticed she cursed multiple times during the interview (not directed at me, but in general). I thought this was alright because it made me feel that it was an informal, sort of friendly conversation, although now it seems like she was simply unprofessional. She said that they're usually working more than 40 hours, yet it remained unknown by how much exactly, and that they're spending 3 days in the office per week. I got invited for the second round, which was an on-site technical interview, followed by a cultural fit interview right after, within the same occasion. During this round, the interviewers (2x "lead engineers") described the process briefly after they asked me some questions about my personal background and let me ask about how the company operates. The first part of the technical interview was what they called a "technical roulette," which was basically a verbal flashcard game played with Wikipedia first sentences of some technical words (i.e.: useEffect, Postgres, hydration, etc.) that I apparently had to know, and most probably don't reveal any kind of skill set or knowledge. Moreover, it made me feel that I was sitting in a classroom in elementary school. This was the point when I realized that these two men were absolutely incapable of doing their jobs interviewing me, but the interview was not over yet. The next phase was a software architecture task, where I had to design a web app that handles a file upload. They said the chosen technologies were up to me, so I started doing the task. In the middle of the interview, one of the men stopped me from going onwards, saying that we couldn’t proceed because I DIDN’T USE THEIR FAVORITE FORM LIBRARY (my solution was legitimate, btw). Then they said that the maximum they could offer was to send me some learning material and that I should go now, just midway through the interview. I kindly declined that offer and just went home. Later did I realize, that one of the men had a serious, visible barleycorn infection on his eyes, which he successfully transmitted to me. 0/7, not recommended
