      Art Director Interview

      26 May 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Totowa, NJ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Color Street (Totowa, NJ) in May 2023

      Interview

My recent encounter with Color Street Company has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. I feel compelled to share my terrible experience with this company in hopes of warning others about their unprofessional and time-wasting practices. To begin with, the hiring process was an absolute nightmare. I was subjected to a grueling series of interviews, totaling four in number, with three different individuals. Each time, I was requested to make the trip to their company location for a face-to-face interview, which not only consumed my time but also wasted my hard-earned money on petrol. Despite the inconvenience, I eagerly attended these interviews, hoping for a positive outcome. However, to my dismay, after investing over a month of my time and energy in their interview process, Color Street Company didn't bother to provide me with any feedback or update. It was utterly unprofessional on their part to keep me hanging without any indication of their intentions. I was left with no choice but to repeatedly follow up with them via email, only to receive a response stating that they had already moved on to another candidate. The sheer lack of consideration for the candidates' time and effort is mind-boggling. Why subject individuals to multiple interviews and make them go through the hassle of visiting the company's location if they had no intention of hiring them? It is both disrespectful and inefficient to drag out the hiring process for such an extended period. I strongly believe that three interviews spanning over a month's time is excessive and unnecessary. Color Street Company should reconsider their recruitment procedures and streamline their hiring process to prevent wasting the time and resources of prospective candidates.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

During my interaction with Color Street Company, I was astounded by the disarray and lack of organization evident in their interview questions. It was evident that the interviewers had not taken the time to prepare relevant questions pertaining to the position or to gauge my suitability for the role. Instead, the questions posed seemed to come from individuals who lacked professionalism and a clear understanding of the job requirements. The absence of any meaningful discussion regarding my skills, qualifications, or how I could contribute to the company's success was disappointing and reflected a lack of professionalism on their part. It was a clear indication that Color Street Company did not take the interview process seriously, resulting in a negative and disheartening experience.
