This was supposed to be a phone screen, but they surprised me with something else. I was supposed to be having a phone screen with HR, so I was expecting that type of interview. Instead, it was someone else who did not tell me his role. He said his name and then talked nonstop for 7 minutes without pause, then said, "ok, we have 15 minutes, what do you want me to know about you? I figured out from context he was the hiring manager, not HR screener, and wanted to get technical. He clearly didn't have enough time for an interview and seemed unprepared. His phone was bad and I could barely hear him. There was no opportunity for us to have a normal interview. I hope this doesn't represent how the Company normally conducts the process. It's really bad form.
