I’ve interviewed several times - the recruiting process seems a little disjoint / confused, but everyone I’ve spoke to is kind, knowledgeable, and willing to refer to a position that they think will fit better.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cohere in Oct 2025
Interview
There were multiple steps in interview :
One interview with recruiter, one interview with hiring manger, and Four technical interviews focused on Coding , mL design, leadership and paper presentation.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cohere in Feb 2026
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter and after a meeting with the hiring manager I was moved to the technical rounds. During which I must have had to talk to or stay in touch with at least 3 different HR people which kept delaying the actual interviews. On the day of the technical round, nobody joined the call and I had to email them to know that they filled that role. Wasted so much of my time. Really unprofessional.

Question 1
Role was in audio but interview was more LLM focused.
Initial screening with the hiring manager (team lead) followed by 4 technical interviews.
The people I interviewed with were all really nice. After the last technical interview, I was left hanging for quite a while, even after following up.
Compared to most companies, the process is good. But the talent team/team lead doesn't seem to have a clear idea of what they're looking for/ how to handle the interaction with candidates.
