First of all, I received a call from the hiring manager telling me to have an HR interview for 15 minutes, all in English. Everything went well; I mainly spoke about my experience. Then, we scheduled a technical interview that required completing a task, which was not a small one. It took about a week to learn about the platform language and complete it. In the technical interview, everything went well, and they were happy with what I offered technically. It was a challenging and really good interview.
After that, the hiring manager came to me and told me I did great and I was accepted to the next stage, which is the culture fit interview next week. Then, everything went wrong. There was no follow-up or communication from the hiring manager. I then found out I was rejected for suspicious reasons, but I believe they only recruit GUCians. I don't have a problem with it, but please, at least make it a requirement in the job description for next time, and remove the word "openness" from your values, as there was nothing open in the hiring process. Don't waste our time, please.
