Interview
I had an initial recruiter screening shortly after applying in September 2025, and the call itself was fine and pleasant. I was told I’d be referred to the hiring manager and would hear about next steps soon.
Instead, I got months of vague excuses, repeated delays, and zero proactive communication. Every update only came after I chased them down myself. First it was budget issues, then a “holding pattern,” then “stay tuned my friend”, and then nothing. Who knows what happened?
It’s now April, and I’ve still heard nothing. If the role was canceled, just say that. Ghosting candidates for months is unprofessional and disrespectful. I wasted my time.
This experience left me with a very poor impression of the company, and I will not apply again.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Coalfire in Dec 2025
Interview
Internal referral. Zoom screening with recruiter. Even though I was absolutely qualified for this role, I was informed by the recruiter that I wasn’t selected to interview beyond this. What’s up with this place?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Coalfire in Mar 2025
Interview
Easy going, panel with a few managers. Rotated asking a variety of personality based and technical ability based questions related to the role. Included some questions where you review code snippets, talk about technical testing, etc.
