      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Clumio (Bengaluru) in Dec 2020

      Interview

I had an amazing experience with HR Jyotsana who gave a detailed explanation about the company. She tried to understand what I wanted from a job and she tried to clear my doubts and help with the interview process. Unlike other HR, she had a genuine conversation with me to make me understand and She went out of the way to schedule an interview for Saturday. I had a initial screening round where I was asked simple javascript questions , and questions to understand what I worked on

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.

      Interview

Contacted by HR for brief on the whole process :- 1st Round - JS output based questions around this keyword, promises ,call ,apply ,bind and currying. 2nd Round - DOM apis, knowledge check of html and css via implementing a small requirement. Bit about web performance. 3rd Round - Take home assignment with 2 days time limit. 4th Round - Miscellaneous web based questions again on performance, locale, debouncing/throttling, infinite scrolling, pagination etc. 5th Round - Didn't happen but is a country head non-tech round. No DS/Algo in any round The HR and interviewer impression was great till the 4th round. After 4th round, there wasn't any communication from the HR at all until 3 months after where another HR said that you already cleared 4 rounds. Would you like to proceed ? I felt that there was no proper feedback and abrupt cutoff from their side so I didn't proceed. Also, not sure if it is still the case but they want the employees to be stationed at Bangalore. Remote options are only possible when the covid situation is worse. After the cutoff and getting contracted with Covid-19 later on, I personally felt that staying away from home (even after covid situation improves) to work here isn't worth the tradeoff. Just some instinctive stuff. I do think they are building a great cloud native SAAS product and the learning would be immense for anybody joining it. Hopefully they try to integrate this feedback and work on considering remote work.
