Truly disorganized recruitment staff that sent me packing from the process.
I was placed into an interview with a manager that had to be rescheduled several times due to recruiters not checking my availability. The interview scheduled was for an unknown job title, in an unknown location, with unknown pay scale (illegal in NYC), and unknown job duties.
Speaking with the manager was great and I did find myself very interested in the position, but then four weeks of no contact or response from the recruitment team (and I do mean team as several people seem to be involved). When I was finally contacted, it was for an initial screening, except I had already spoken with the hiring manager. This recruiter reached out via phone to explain that it was her mistake, attempted to schedule me for a technical interview, advised me she can not tell me the pay scale for the job, and then told me there are several candidates in front of me and flat out said I likely won’t make it through the process before they hire. Then she went on to suggest positions I had no interest in, and demonstrated an amazing ability to not listen to what was being said. I had to say three times that I live in the area the job requires. I had to ask her if she would like to see my rent bill as proof.
Apparently there are about 5 more interviews I would have had to complete to get through the process and considering the extremely poor communication, the inability to articulate job titles and pay, and really the fact that this company was exposed as a bad employer publically in early 2024, I decided to pursue other opportunities.
