Don't.. but if you do, stay low.. the Head knows more.. Apparently, there are job postings for Principal Engineer in R&D. Based on my observation, this seems to have been there forever. And based on my interview experience, let me explain how this could go... There will be a few rounds. 2 people interview you in each round - 1 from India and the other from Croatia. And if they find you being versatile or knowing a bit more than what the Head of R&D does, you will get an email next day mentioning that you are not selected. The first round will be pretty interesting with good problems to solve (without Head of R&D). I don't deny that. Tips: Don't mention your knowledge in areas beyond JavaScript. Yes, there will be questions on other areas however. Make sure you give that a pass and stick only to JavaScript. Fun fact: I didn't even get basic JS questions, let alone, ECMA 6 or Node JS. (Not counting the first round) Conclusion: Either this whole thing is a timepass for the org or there is some serious sense of insecurity lingers. Note: This is entirely based on my experience.
