I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ClearView Healthcare Partners in Apr 2014
Interview
Applied via recruiting at my university. The initial round was on campus, and I was invited to their office in Newton for an in-person interview.
Interviewers were generally friendly, welcoming. Interview questions and cases were not very difficult, and can be easily addressed by anyone with a basic knowledge of healthcare.
Firm itself is very small, and while this may be advertised as a positive, I don't know that it is. For PhDs like myself, one big reason for going into consulting is to learn things in the business world fast, by getting wide exposure to a number of companies and problems.
One of the partners who interviewed me wasn't a great person to talk to. He has a banking background, and I'm not sure how much he understands the drug development process.
Also, during the recruitment process, the main guy that they sent (who is the only partner with a PhD+MBA) really spent too much time talking about their drinking culture. This was the info sessions and also later. I can understand making a couple of jokes, but if that's the only thing you can point to highlight your firm's culture, then you may have a problem.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ClearView Healthcare Partners (New York, NY) in Mar 2025
Interview
relatively straightforward, both interviewers are very nice and helpful. Case interview first then behavioral. There are three behavioral "story type" questions, so be prepared to tell your stories! We finished the behavioral interview within 20 mins, so I also had plenty of time to ask questions. A good experience overall.
2 of the 4 interviews will be case-based, while the other are behavioral. The cases will be related to the healthcare industry. Will typically be a market opportunity assessment, first to size the patient population before assessing the overall sales when given the price of a novel drug.

Interview
Relatively straightforward, early rounds were a behavioral and case interview (case was very biotech focused) and then final rounds were some meetings with leadership for both casing and a more open ended discussion
