Job was posted online. Applied and had a phone interview. At the end of the interview, I was asked to interview in person with the individual who would be my supervisor. It went very well. At the end I asked what the next step would be. I was told that there was a very good chance that I would receive a job offer. Later next week I received an email stating that the hiring manager of the department had tried to call me to setup an interview. I gave two phone number to call and no one from that companied tried to call. I was given a phone number to call. I did 6 times leaving 2 voicemails. No return calls or emails. I emailed the HR rep. that contacted me and told this person what happen. I was told that the hiring manager was out. If that were true, then why was I informed that the hiring manager tried to call me? I was told that when the hiring manager returned that I would receive a call for a second interview. It never happened. I have applied at Clarkson many times. Once I setup a phone interview only to be told 2 hours before the interview that the position was filled. I was excited after the first interview. The supervisor and I really hit it off. I was looking forward to working with that person. Given my experience this time and in the past, I would not recommend apply at Clarkson.
