      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco (Bengaluru) in May 2015

      Interview

I had given the interview with CIsco which lasted for about 50 days and had a very bad experience. To begin with after the 1st round it took the Recruitment team atleast 15 days to get back to me with the details of the 2nd round. After that there were 7 other rounds where i was interviewed from the software engineers to the program managers and then back again to the senior software Engineers. Cisco does not have a clue on how they would want the candidate to be evaluated except that they need to follow a set protocol on the interview process which does not make sense. After going through the 8 rounds they finally give an offer however, it does not match the expected salary that I had mentioned to them on day 1 of the interview. On asking them why they went ahead with all the rounds and wasted my time the HR had no answer. Never going to give an interview with Cisco ever again.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco (Bengaluru) in Dec 2025

      Interview

I have attended for QA/manual testing /L2,L3 protocol testing .two technical rounds cleared and recruiter called for hiring manager round.the lady manager interviewed me with different types of questions like how many test cases written and automated ,what is the difficult bug you found and fixed?.salary details etc.She also asked my Cisco email id (I worked as contractor earlier) .she told director is busy and HR will update you like that.i have waited 2 days and she was rejected due to more automation skills .she want 80% manual tester and 20% automation.but Iam 60% automation using python and 40% manual tester.i am not sure about worst procedure interview process.if they want manual tester ,why the technical person asking automation and manual?..the manager name is Bharathy john.i am not sure whether she knows managing skills or not?.if she want manual tester then why she didn’t informed to technical persons?..all technical completed then she played a drama.she is wasting my time completely for one month.this complete process took a month. Please check the skill set before going to attend the interviews.Recruiter informed me both required buy she rejected .Bad experience ..
