I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Chipotle (Lodi, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
Applied online and was called two days later. Interview was scheduled for three days later, followed by a second interview three more days later. The first interview was like most others, but the second is where they shined. They gave me a glimpse of what it's like to work at the company. They introduced me to the whole crew, showed me their facilities, and explained to me all the jobs and what a typical day entails, upon which time I was offered a position starting at $9.50/hr pending a background check. Altogether, it was an eight day process.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
