I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Chili's Grill and Bar (Louisville, KY) in Mar 2012
Interview
I just walked in for an application. I was able to interview on the spot with a manager. He asked what I was doing the following Monday. I told him I would be back for another interview and he laughed. I met with the General Manager the next interview and was offered a position. Scheduling for orientation takes the most time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you were not able to make a guest happy. How did you handle the situation?
I interviewed at Chili's Grill and Bar (Topeka, KS)
Interview
Not great. The interview process felt like an assembly line. But the kitchen smelled good while I was waiting to speak with the general manager, so that was something. The interview was ultimately very fast and quick, normal interview question, normal responses.
They scheduled me to come in to interview, then told me right when I arrived that they were not even hiring for the position that they had me come in for. They completely wasted my time and the manager was kinda rude and acted like having to do the interview was an imposition.
I interviewed at Chili's Grill and Bar (Germantown, TN)
Interview
The interviewer showed up late, ran through a few very basic competency questions and then asked when I could start. I then watched various training modules and began almost immediately.
