I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chief (NY) in Aug 2025
Interview
Starts with a 30 minute Zoom interview that's really only supposed to be 15 minutes. Recruiter tells me she makes it 30 minutes because "some people tend to talk too much". Then they make you do an hour long data exercise that was devoid of any actual instructions other than "answer the questions" (as in, no guidance on how to submit proof of work and how you got to your answers, formatting, etc). Then they rejected me, with no feedback at all even though I'm almost certain every question was answered appropriately.

The interviewer seemed totally uninterested and exhausted. Wasn’t a great first impression of the company. It took about three weeks after to hear back. Overall left me with a bad taste in my mouth about an organization I was excited about.

Interview
This is an impressive organization with bright folks working there. I was recruited via Linked In and then the interview process was drawn out over 12 weeks with 10 individual interviews. My experience aligned almost exactly with the job description -- I've seen its been reposted which leads me to believe they may not be aligned internally to what the actual needs of the organization are.
