Allow me to elaborate since I am unable to respond to employer responses and I apparently was not specific enough. Your response to my previous review really proves my point that this place has so many red flags, and sounds like you did not properly digest a word I said based on how you are attempting to invalidate my experience and manipulate something I vividly remember.
First of all, the interview was NOT "several years ago", it was a little over one. It was one year and three months ago, a few days before Christmas to be exact, since you don't know how long ago December 2022 was. It seems as though you are trying to brush this off and paint me as crazy, like this was an eternity ago. If it HAD been several years ago...why would I still care? As for why I still care now....the same reason I wrote my first review. It was still recent enough to know this behavior would probably occur again.
Second, there were absolutely ZERO audio issues during the call, the only reason I said it was loud and we couldn't hear each other was because the aforementioned people in the background, WERE IN THE SAME ROOM AS THE INTERVIEWER. Making A LOT of noise. Meaning the interviewer a.k.a. the owner, was not paying attention to me, because she was too distracted and more interested in what the people BEHIND THE CAMERA were doing (her eyes would trail off to them while I was talking, laughing and smiling at whatever was going on). I could very clearly hear them talking, I didn't see any people walking around in the "glass offices" behind the interviewer nor did I hear noises from other offices, (you know the alleged soundproof ones) it was literally the same room. Obviously, it does not matter if all of your offices have "soundproof walls", because the sound was coming from inside your little soundproof walls. The interviewer became continuously uninterested throughout the call when she couldn't join in on the fun in the room, but especially after I said I had just recently graduated and that this was not for college credit.
By the way, I like how I was completely blamed for anything that did go wrong in this interview, and that the interviewer couldn't have just had a bad attitude. Even though she would change the expression on her face to a look of disgust each time I answered a question. What does that have to do with technical issues? Zoom isn't in control of your facial expressions. And the "good chance the background noise was coming from your location or a result of the poor internet connection you had at the time" does not track, I was in my home office...ALONE. Complete silence around me. Also how do you know I was having poor internet if there is zero recollection of this interview? Probably the same way you concluded that my "assumptions regarding the demeanor of the interviewer are unfounded". After I answered all her questions, she went on about herself and how she was about to have a child. That's not remotely related to anything normally discussed in an interview.
Lastly, the difficult questions asked was not the one about my design experience, considering that was the nature of the internship, I obviously expected that to be asked, I just don't fully remember other questions asked because my memory only highlighted the parts that alarmed me the most, but I know they were not necessary for this position. And for the record, I had plenty of qualifications for this internship. Please do not downplay something just because it is a bad reflection on your company, just take accountability. Good grief. I usually do not do this, but this was an INSANE response to have to someone who had a bad experience with your company. But then again, I should have expected a response just as self-motivated and patronizing as the interviewer was. This has to be a joke, I am completely dumbfounded.
