The interview process was a bit disorganized and unprofessional. I was first screened by an internal recruiter and then met in a Teams interview with the hiring manager. Through our conversation it was revealed that he did not really know what he wanted (it was a new position) was and how it would fit into the team. It was like workshopping ideas for the role during the interview, which made it hard to pin down exactly how my experience would map to the role. Then he was expecting me to give a presentation and I was unaware of that. The recruiter had not mentioned anything about that expectation. So overall, I feel it was poor communication with me as a candidate and within the company.
