Submitted an application on Angel.co and received an invitation to interview from a Vitaly Kolas, who specifically mentioned being impressed with my cover letter. After the interview was scheduled Vitaly canceled last minute. I contacted him to verify if there perhaps had been a mistake. Vitaly then went on to explain that my experience did not match the requirements of the job, even though I had provided samples of the exact things they were looking for. When I pressed him further, he was incredibly dismissive. I believe he holds specific prejudices and it's upsetting that this company would employ a prejudiced person to conduct their recruiting.
