The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Check Point Software Technologies (Tel Aviv-Yafo)
Interview
The interview process began with some standard introductions and then quickly transitioned into the technical assessment phase. This part of the interview primarily focused on my understanding of regular expressions and their practical application, which I was expected to show with a specific challenge. Following the technical question, I was asked a series of more general questions, mostly designed to understand my background, past experiences in similar projects, and my motivations for applying to this specific internship at Check Point. These behavioral questions also touched upon my preferred working style, my approach to problem-solving, and how I deal with setbacks or learning new things. There was a good mix of practical skill evaluation and behavioral analysis in order to get a well rounded view of my fit for the team.

Question 1
The interviewer asked me to create a regular expression that would identify and filter out a specific format of phone numbers, specifically the format (ddd)ddd-dddd. The task was to write a regex that could distinguish these numbers from strings that did not follow that pattern. They wanted to see how I approached filtering data using regular expressions.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Check Point Software Technologies (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Jun 2023
Interview
This was my hiring process for the Automation Solutions Engineer Student position (the job wasn't listed above). Initially, after sending my CV, I received a call from the HR representative regarding a different position since the one I had applied for had already been filled. I was asked to take a coding test on Codility, which consisted of three questions similar to the ones mentioned previously. Fortunately, I was able to pass the test, and as a result, I proceeded to the second interview with the team leader. During the second interview, I was presented with a relatively straightforward coding question: merging two sorted linked lists into one big linked list without duplications. Despite the simplicity of the question, I must admit that I felt quite a bit of pressure during the interview. Unfortunately, I didn't have a positive experience with the interviewer. I perceived a sense of patronization, and I felt like I wasn't given a fair chance to demonstrate my abilities. Additionally, I didn't feel comfortable in the situation, and it seemed that the interviewer lacked experience in conducting interviews. During the interview, we also discussed my projects and experiences from my studies, but I couldn't shake the feeling of being inadequate in that particular environment. Ultimately, I received a call stating that I didn't pass the interview. I want to acknowledge that the HR team was very kind and understanding throughout the process, and their offer to apply again in the future is appreciated.
