The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Charles River Associates (Chicago, IL) in Sept 2010
Interview
The interview was extremely basic. All the interviewer did was go through my resume and ask about those experiences. Maybe one basic behavioral question. All in all I thought I answered well, but was not asked back. No idea how they differentiated candidates since the process was so simple. The interviewer seemed good-natured and welcoming, and even showed what I thought was genuine satisfaction and positive impression after most of my answers, so really no idea how the interviews went for those who were asked back. They may put a heavy weight on the pre-night meet and greet which I was not able to attend.

Question 1
What did you learn at your internship that you can apply in our position?
Two technical interviews, with example real world scenarios. Real world scenarios could be BEC, ransomware, or dead-box forensics. Then, two "personality/vibe" interviews, where they asked about how you handle failure, difficult or new scenarios, and what your work approach is.
There are two rounds of interview for incoming analysts, One with two juniors, fairly quick and not technical. There was also a second interview with 4 rounds, each of which was with a more senior level person

Question 1
Why I am interested in the practice area I applied for
Smooth. 2 rounds of interview. A lot of questions surrounding research experiences and data processing. Not too many technicals. Many fit questions as well. Generally not difficult and got back to me pretty fast.
