I was contacted by the HR department inquiring about my past construction experience. I provided some brief projects background. I was asked what Healthcare experience I had and I explained my experience was limited to private commercial. I specifically noted I would not be the best fit as a project manager with a new company on a healthcare project requiring AHCA experience but would be well suited for any commercial work they might have. It was decided to move forward with an interview. Knowing I would be traveling from Tampa to Gainesville, I was asked if I could come in for an interview the next day. I explained I was currently out of town on a project and could not plan an all day trip on such short notice. We agreed to set up the interview for the following week. I took off on my scheduled interview date, and drove the 2.5 hrs to Gainesville. Halfway through the interview with 6 other CPPI personnel, it was explained they were looking for a project manager on a Healthcare project. I paused, explained I was not a good fit, and ended the interview. I was extremely irritated with the disorganization and lack of consideration for my time and that of the 6 other upper management personnel.
