Without a doubt, the most absurd, massive waste of time, toxic experience I have ever had in ~10 years in the industry.
* Required a ~4 hour project (not a coding test)
* Took days/weeks to communicate during every single step (to the point where I thought I had been ghosted multiple times)
* Either lied or at the very least were absurdly misinformed about the content and purpose of interviews
* Offered a slightly under market salary and then claimed they couldn't afford that exact amount months later
* Certain interviewers alternated between pleasant and bizarrely hostile
Etc., etc. A literal sea of red flags.
Finally, after a nearly 2 month back-and-forth with 3 rounds of unpleasant interviews, and repeatedly assuring that they "respect my time" and "support fully remote", they ended up hiring someone who is fully local. This should have been a 2-3 week process *at most*. Almost comical, really.
If I were a prospective employee, I would run away as fast as I could.
