I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Centra (Sweden) (Wrocław) in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview consisted of three stages:
Initial HR Chat:
I had a friendly and engaging conversation with the HR representative. She was charming, open, and communicative, making a positive start to the process.
Technical Challenge (2 hours):
This part was challenging but fair. I was interviewed by two Senior Software Engineers who were very professional, open-minded, and supportive throughout the session. They created a comfortable environment despite the complexity of the tasks.
Soft Skills Assessment (1 hour):
This stage was conducted by two people. The Project Manager was kind and approachable, creating a good atmosphere for the conversation.
Unfortunately, the second interviewer made this part difficult. He came across as unengaged and unfriendly, asked questions that didn’t seem relevant, and responded negatively to my answers regardless of their content. His attitude stood in contrast to the otherwise positive experience I had with the rest of the team.

Interview
1. Screening with Talent Acquisition Lead, 2. English (5 mins 10 Qs) and Maths Test (5 mins 10 Qs), 3. no follow-up. I imagine that my Maths result wasn't high enough to pass to the next stage because the time per question was short, but to not receive a formal rejection was disappointing.

Question 1
The screening was focused on selling the role to me rather than asking specific questions about my experience and background.

Interview
Although the company seemed promising, the interview was simply bizarre.
I wish luck to all candidates, you are going to need that ;) The company eliminates the best talents instead of acquiring them by providing as a first step very ridiculous "Maki" assessment which actually had not much in common with the position I applied for and the form of the test as well as the questions are similar to those nonsense IQ online test. The only thing that was different was that there was no requirement to send very expensive SMS to get results xD. Honestly, who uses that? Whose idea was that. Does your CEO know about that? The recruitment manager was quite unprofessional as well. Constantly rubbed his eyes and face with his hands - conjunctivitis guaranteed

Question 1
Why do I want to work for them? What am I looking for? Just standard mambo-jumbo things.
