I was contacted by HR within a week of applying and scheduled a phone interview with two employees in the consulting department. Overall the process was friendly and communicative.
The two Centerline interviewers were friendly and outspoken but had very little idea of what they wanted the position to look like, and had rough broad descriptions of the BI/AA role they envisioned. It turns out that Centerline is looking to grow their consulting practice, and this role appeared to be at the center of that goal. This was not at all communicated in the Job Description or prior to the interview, so it was much more of a discussion about the concepts behind the role then an actual job. Overall, for a Marketing company to want to break into the BI space is a lofty goal, and the two interviewers both had a limited grasp on the enormous challenges this would entail. The interview felt directed much more by me then by them, which was not a positive feeling for a role that was supposed to involve a large amount of responsibility under the interviewers supervision.
