Several months of ghosting and poor communication. First interview was a 30 min phone call with a recruiter who was really nice and seemed organized (soon found out this was not the case). Second was a 30 min video interview with the hiring manager. It took about 3 weeks to move to the last round of interviews which was an hour long panel interview with the hiring manager, another manager, and 2 team members. One of the team members, who I was told was not going to attend, I found to be kind of aggressive. After I answered another member's question, he told me I was wrong then proceeded to answer the question himself (his response was exactly the same as mine). Later, I asked him to clarify one of his questions and instead he just answered it himself and logged off. I don't understand why he attended if he wasn't staying most of the time. The rest of the interview went fine and I found everyone else to be nice. A couple months went by and I didn't hear anything. I emailed the recruiter twice and did not receive a reply. I assumed I didn't get the position but considering I went through the ENTIRE interview process, some feedback would've been nice.
Months later another recruiter contacted me for a different DA position I forgot I applied for. The recruiter seemed really eager to get me in a position at Centene but there were some red flags. The new position was the same level as the original one but was in a different department, This position paid WAY less than the job description and the previous position I interviewed for with no room for negotiation. My entire experience was not at all enjoyable and it felt like a big waste of time. Ultimately, I decided Centene isn't right for me and will not be continuing with the new position. This is really disappointing because I was really excited about the possibility of working with Centene but after my experience I do not plan on applying again.
The interview process consisted of a 20–30 minute AI-based assessment where I responded to a series of pre-recorded questions. Each question allowed a short preparation time followed by a timed response, during which my voice and screen activity were recorded. The format focused on evaluating my communication skills, problem-solving approach, and technical knowledge in a structured, self-paced environment.
